Community Enhancement

Enhancement of a community will generally lead to an enhanced quality of life within that community. Such enhancement may encompass community buildings and infrastructure, public health and safety services and processes, and environmental resources. In 2007, the Stark Foundation supported programs that addressed the removal of debris and demolition of substandard structures, the expansion of a public library, and the acquisition of equipment for law enforcement and other first responders. The Foundation is also committed to supporting programs involved in the protection and preservation of land, plants and habitat, wildlife, and water resources, as reflected in its grant in 2007 to the Conservation Fund Texas Program. Grants by the Stark Foundation in 2007 for community enhancement exceeded $1,000,000.00.
